Earl Grey Matcha Latte

This reimagined matcha latte blends the smoothness of Dairyland Lactose Free Milk with the delicate flavour of Earl Grey tea. A subtle balance of floral notes and earthy matcha, perfect for a refined break. Served iced, for a moment both comforting and refreshing!

Ingredients

Earl Grey Syrup :

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp Earl Grey loose-leaf tea
  • 2 cups cane sugar
     

Matcha Latte:

Directions

  1. Earl Grey syrup:
  2. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the Earl Grey tea and let it fully infuse, stirring gently.
  3. Transfer the brewed Earl Grey tea to a medium saucepan and add the sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then reduce the heat.
  4. Simmer, stirring regularly, until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency. Set aside.
  1. Matcha latte:
  2. In a bowl, whisk the matcha powder with the hot water using a bamboo matcha whisk until smooth and lump-free.
  3. In a stainless steel milk pitcher, pour in the milk. Add the Earl Grey syrup (to taste) and froth until the milk is light and foamy.
  4. Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the milk, followed by the prepared matcha.
  5. Spoon the milk foam on top. If desired, dust lightly with matcha powder and enjoy!
